FCA Authorisations Service Performance – Q1 2025/26


The latest FCA metrics show strong performance across most authorisation areas, with the vast majority of applications determined within statutory deadlines.


✅ Highlights

Approved Persons (SMCR) – 99.8% on time; median 38 days

Approved Persons (AR) – 98.6% on time; median 27 days

New Firm Authorisations – 97.9% on time

Variations of Permission – 98.9% on time

Change in Control – 100% on time

5MLD Registrations – 100% within deadline

Payment Services & E-Money – almost all categories at 100%

3MLD/4MLD Registrations dipped to 86.9% within the 45-day target — the only significant miss this quarter.
